Wayne has over 40 plus years serving the public as a Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director. He believes in accountability and fiscal responsibility. He supports meeting the needs of the district in a cost-effective accountable manner. Wayne supports the district providing great service. He has been a small business owner, so he understands the needs of the business community.
He has resided in the Fire Districts for over 25 years. As a homeowner he wants good service to be provided with our tax dollars. As a husband, father, and grandfather he will work hard to protect your family.
He knows that in these times of high inflation many cannot afford the proposed millage increase added to the tax bill. He does not support the proposed millage increase from 1.5 to 2 mills.
Wayne has had great moments and tragic moments in his life. He has suffered personal and professional losses in his life. He knows what is like to be terminated from a job. With his head high he has always bounced back serving his community.
His education includes a Master of Science in Executive Fire Service Leadership from Grand Canyon University. He earned his Executive Fire Officers (EFO) from the National Fire Academy. He has served as President of the Florida Fire Chiefs Association and the Florida State Firefighters Association.
At this point in his life Wayne is in contribution mode and is willing to serve the community. He is well rounded with service in Independent Fire Districts, Municipal, and County government. He is prepared to serve as your next Fire Commissioner at the Great Naples Fire Rescue District.
